The California In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program offers an Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Solution for IHSS and WPCS providers. This solution provides a user-friendly interface that allows providers to easily check-in and check-out at the beginning and end of each work day for each IHSS/WPCS recipient they serve. The process is straightforward, guiding providers through the steps of selecting the recipient, indicating whether they are checking-in or checking-out, and specifying if they are providing services at the recipient's home or in the community.

In addition, the IHSS EVV app conveniently adds the provider's hours to their IHSS Timesheet at the end of the workday. It uses Location Services to capture the start time, end time, and location of each visit. It's important to note that while it captures this information, it does not track the provider during the visit or at any other time. It simply takes a snapshot of the location when they check-in and check-out.

California's IHSS EVV Solution ensures compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act Federal EVV requirements by capturing essential data, including:

<ul>
 <li>The date, time, and location where IHSS/WPCS services start</li>
 <li>The name of the recipient</li>
 <li>The date, time, and location where IHSS/WPCS services end</li>
 <li>The location where the visit ends</li>
</ul>

Furthermore, California's IHSS EVV Solution offers the ability to capture data even when internet connectivity is unavailable. The app securely stores encrypted visit information and automatically transmits the data once the user regains internet access.
